Chartered: January 20, 1993

The Soroptimist International of Bocaue (SI-BOCAUE) was founded on January 20, 1993 with Gov. Luz Un Ocampo. Charter President Bernanda Gonzales, 1993-1996. On May 22, 1993 at Nikko Hotel, The Charter President of Bocaue received a Silver Jubilee Coffee Book. Appreciation was given during the 14th Biennial Conference at EDSA Shangri-la Plaza Hotel on May 20, 1994. In 1994-1996 under the term

of Gov. Gladys SJ Tiongco, SI-Bocaue received the ff.: Governor’s Cup for 100% increase in membership; most outstanding Club and Club President 1994-1995, given during the 15th Mid Biennial Conference in Davao City, May 20, 1995; SIPR Pin as Outstanding Club President 1994-1995. Past President Fortunata B. O’Santos, 1996-1998, became District Director in 2002-2004 and region treasurer in 2004-2006, received the following recognition during the 16th Mid Biennial Conference on May 20, 1997 held at IloIlo City. Projects

Our club created a program involving women and girls from our Adopted Barangay which is located at Duhat, Bocaue, Bulacan.

This program provides women and girls who wish to improve their house- keeping skills that may serve as a tool for them to earn a living and attain sustainability. We are seek assistance from TESDA for proper training programs such as:

Proper use of modern day appliances and equipment
Training on how to operate and improve kitchen techniques,
Simple and minor house repairs
Tips on cooking and other matters that may help them improve their housekeeping skills.

We are gather women and girls to form a group/class for TESDA to hold training schedules for them. Arming them with additional knowledge and information may be useful if not for personal needs but also may serve as their asset to gain extra income if they might decide to apply for local and overseas employment.

Through the effort of our Adopted Barangay Chairperson Dr. Flor Mendoza interested women and girls were gathered, with or without academic background, they can avail of the opportunity that may empower them in the future. We are also trying to contact and seek assistance from outstanding establishment around our community who wish to financially assist us in this devour by sponsoring funds for minimal cost of allowance for participant who wish to undertake this training program but constrained to do due to financial challenges. We have put up fliers and promote this activity through social media as information campaign. Upon finishing this training participants may be endorsed to our community through our barangay leaders whom may need house help in their domicile. Through government agencies we may also endorse them on local or overseas employment.
