On August 29, 2010, CP Gloria A. Ferrer joined the Soroptimist International of San Jose City upon the invitation of Past President Susan S. Francisco and Past District Director Remedios Ignacio.

 

As  an active member of SI San Jose City, she realized the strong positive impact of the club in the community. She thought that forming a club in her home town would significantly contribute to the welfare of Rizaleños particularly women and girls.

 

There after upon the suggestion of some SI San Jose City officers, a proposal for the formation of SI Club in Rizal, Nueva Ecija was drawn.

In October 10, 2015, an orientation for prospective members of SI Rizal, NE was hellcat the Centro Culina. Senior Soroptimist officers expounded on what Soroptimist is all about, and what it takes to be a Soroptimist.  The series of meetings and inter-action between SI San Jose City and prospective members from Rizal developed among latter the eagerness to join the organization.

Finally, on October 29, 2015, SI Rizal, Nueva Ecija came into being. The induction of charter members was presided by then District Director Yolanda Ignacio, while the installation of officers was conducted by Governor Myra Paz Abubakar.
