About Us


Chartered:  June 25, 1983

Soroptimist International of Kalibo was chartered last June 25, 1983 by Soroptimist International of Roxas City (Capiz). The Charter President was Manolita Q. Acevedo who remains to be an active member of the club up to the present. SI Kalibo brought honor to the Region for nominating the first young Filipina who was given the Violet Richardson Awards (VRA) in 2006 in Philadelphia, USA in the person of Maranatha Estrada and the first awardee/recipient of Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Awards (WOA) in 2008 in Taipei, Taiwan in the person of Mispah Evangelio. Now, the club has 33 active members and is proud that one of its dynamic member, Ms. Gabrielle “Billie” Calizo-Quimpo will assume as Governor of the SIPR for Biennium 2020-2022.
