Chartered:  December 16, 1987

Soroptimist International of Caloocan City, is a non profit club that  was chartered  on December 16, 1987 with Dulce Ilagan-Gozon as Charter President. Composed of 12 professional women coming from different industries with a passion to serve the community and the country,  our club’s synergy developed trust within, belief in each other’s capacity to serve,  which led to lasting friendships as well as commitment to service amongst all other things.  SICC, as we call our club, focuses on an advocacy towards inspiring and empowering women and girls from all walks of life to reach for their goals and dreams no matter what the challenges. Hence, the club’s realization of our main tagline, Investing in Dreams,

by actively participating in the “Dream it Be it” and “Live Your Dream” programs as directed from our umbrella non profit organization, Soroptimist international of the Americas (SIA). SICC, being under the governance of Soroptimist International of the Americas Philippines Region (SIAPR), is also very active in participating in our region’s mandatory projects such as Adopt-a-barangay and Adopt-a-PNP to name a few. This led to a roaring successful stature of a Hall of Famer when it comes to accomplishment awards.
 

Today at this time of pandemic under the leadership of President Dolores del Valle, our club’s active members and officers are even more inspired to be women for others, knowing that the communities we help all the more need the support that we can give now. More projects were done despite the prohibition for face to face meetings and gatherings, talents where tapped all the more to accomplish even greater things. We are unstoppable women, inspired by our passion to serve and most of all, empowered by the Lord God’s gifts and talents.
