About Us
Chartered: Year 1980
Heading the suggestion of the fellow Soroptimist from SI Lucena, Mrs. Magdalena M. Nicolas and Mrs. Felisa Q. Ylagan organized SI Calauag in 1980, with the former as charter president. Selected 22 professional and business executives of Calauag were inducted on January. 24, 1982, during the presidency of Rosa S. Munda, whose position was later changed to SIPR Governor for Southern Luzon District. When Mrs. Rosario Abrenica was President of SI Lucena, SI Calauag, sponsored the chartering of SI Atimonan(1984), SI Gumaca (1986) and SI Lopez (1989). Since then SI Calauag was on the go for service. (Read more)

1st PAMASKONG HANDOG with 100 families from the depressed areas of the community as recipients

ADOPT A BARANGAY PROJECT, now a national project of SIPR. Worth mentioning was the Adoption of “Mother Classes” every Saturday for 2 hours, where they were taught on Livelihood, Health and Sanitation etc.

EDUCATION where selected High School Students participated in Youth Forums, scholarships grants to poor but deserving students etc.

HEALTH and SANITATION with the launching of “Watch your Health” in 1984, cleanliness and beautification drives and other projects related thereto.

Other notable undertakings included SI Calauag’s participation to UN Day celebration, hosting of District Conferences and others.
