Chartered: April 10, 1990
Soroptimist International of Antipolo was chartered on April 10, 1990 with Michaelina Antonio as its Charter President. The Club celebrated its Pearl (30 years) Anniversary
in 2020 with a Candle Lighting and Thanksgiving Ceremony, held virtually and made more meaningful by the unprecedented COVID19 pandemic.
The Club currently has 25 active members — all women in business and the professions. Inspired by the Soroptimist mission-vision of improving the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world, the Club annually participates in SI Americas Dream Programs: Live Your Dream Awards (LYDA) and Dream It, Be It (DIBI) . For the LYDA, the Club takes pride in winning two federation-wide awards with Rowena Navaira (2012) and Rhea Bernardez (2018).
Through its center-piece Gabay Kababaihan Program and Scholarship Program, the Club has continued to serve the women and girls of Antipolo, in collaboration with its local government and agencies, the Club’s Adopted Barangay and Adopted PNP WCPD, as well as NGOs in the community.
