Philippines Region Reaps Awards at

SIA's "Shaping the Future Award"

The past year has been a bumper year for the Philippines Region!

SIAPR received the Shaping of the Future Awards from the Federation for its having reached the goal of one hundred percent (100%) Club Giving before May 2019.

The citation from SIA reads:

“At the start of the 2018-2019 Biennium, the Region’s fundraising committee set a goal of having 100 percent club participation in Club Giving before May 31, 2019.  This would be a challenge as only 10 percent of the Clubs in this Region had participated in Club Giving in the prior year.  The Region’s strategy was to give a canister to every club so that members could deposit any amount they wished at every meeting.  The Governor gave a canister to all clubs during installation.  When the canister was full, the total amount was submitted for Club Giving.

“As a result, at the end of April, the Region had increased their participation by 75 percent and contributions by 112 percent.  But that wasn’t the end. I am pleased to announce that at the end of May, the region had attained 100 percent club participation and increased their contribution by nearly $9,000 or 130 percent.  Congratulations to Governor Lydia and the clubs in the Philippines Region!  What an amazing accomplishment!”

Aside from this sterling achievement, SIAPR garnered two Honorable Mention Awards for its accomplishments in Fund-Raising and Public Awareness.

The SIA award recognized the following achievements of SIAPR:

The Region had two main focuses this year; Fundraising and Public Awareness.

They put together a Region web team and launched a revamped Region website that features the Dream Programs prominently and has integrated social media accounts.  We already heard about their fundraising success a few minutes ago.  But that’s not everything.  They also gained members and clubs.  And had increased in the Live your Dream Awards and Dream It Be It.

What a successful year for the Philippines Region led by Governor Lydia.”

The SIA Federation also commended 12 clubs of the Region for meeting the goals of the Diamond Campaign for Membership, as follows:
