To the family  of the late Past Region Governor

and Federation Director LUZ UN OCAMPO

 

On behalf of the Soroptimist International of the Americas Philippines Region (a foundation), Inc., we want to express our deepest sympathy and sorrow on the passing on yesterday afternoon, July 12, 2022, of our beloved LUZ UN OCAMPO, Region Governor for Biennium 1992-1994.

 

PG Luz or “Atcheng Luz”, as she was fondly called by many, was a shining example of a true leader as one of our pioneer Region Governors.  Through the years, she actively lent her presence and support on many Soroptimist endeavors and activities.

 

She was instrumental in providing our Region its first headquarters in Makati City, true to her three-fold biennial mission of “Growth, Visibility and Permanence”. 

 

For all her service and great contributions to the Soroptimist organization, her magnanimity, her joyful and kind personality, and for all that she was as a person, we pay tribute to her as one of the strong pillars of the Philippines Region. 

 

Godspeed, Past Governor Luz.  We will miss you, but we take comfort in the fact that heaven has gained another Soroptimist angel!
